I read Neil Gaiman’s “Ocean at the End of the Lane” this summer, and It completely got me back into reading.
This is my interpretation of one of the “Hunger Birds,” the willfully aggressive, world devouring varmints. When something is out of hand, or out of place, they devour.
They are the Cleaners.
The image of them was so clear to me, that I couldn’t help but try to put it on paper.
I also read that Focus Features will be adapting this story into a film that will be produced by Tom hanks and directed by Joe Wright. I would very much love to be a part of that.
Hey guys, I’m fortunate enough to be a part of the “MeatBall Head” Art show curated by the awesome nicocolaleo in L.A.
This one was fun, I rarely use line and have been having fun with it lately working on comics and planting Easter eggs in my pieces, would’ve liked to have planted more but eh, next time. Hope you like it.
Unfortunately I won’t be there but my piece will- along with some other awesome artists who I work with( wscottforbes, halfglovepunch , perinm & shaburdies ) and some who I follow on tumblr. Go check it out if you’re in the area at at Meltdown Comics/Nerdist Showroom on August 16th ! Should be a good time :).
The first time I held a human brain in Anatomy Lab I was completely speechless. I looked at my classmates expecting a similar reaction and they looked back at me confused like…”dude let’s start identifying the structures.” I had to take a step back and let it process…in my hands was someone’s entire life. From start to finish, every memory, every emotion, every bodily control…was right there in my hands.
I don’t care if people unfollow this is spectacular
This post just fucked me up literally
thank you and so are you!
right in the kokoro <3
